What’s the first image that comes to mind when you think about strength?
You probably think about some muscle-bound titan pushing plate after plate at the bench press station. Perhaps you think of those superhero-looking bodybuilders that strut their stuff on the beach.
When you think like that, it’s easy to see no need for muscles.
But is there more to it than that? Surely all those dumbbell reps and push-ups can’t be for nothing, right?
Newsflash: Everyone Needs Strength!
Strength isn’t just about lifting weights!
It’s about carrying your groceries in less trips, or moving your couch downstairs without straining your back, or packing the trunk of the car with suitcases for that family road trip.
Here’s the cool thing about fitness: you can work the muscles that you use the most! What does this mean?
If you have young children, you might need to carry them around from time to time. It would then benefit you to build strength in your biceps, triceps, shoulders, and legs!
Of course, you want to make sure you don’t ignore the other parts of the body, but this is a great way to build the strength that will make your life easier.
