Nutrition is one of the best gifts you could ever give your kids.
Just think: the healthier your kids are, the longer they’ll live, and the more of life they’ll be able to experience.
So how do we inspire the next generation to really care about their health? I have a simple trick up my sleeve that I want to share with you today!
Hype up the healthy food!
Keep this in mind: if your child is really young, their mind has yet to fully develop.
So…this is your chance to influence how they see healthy foods!
Take the time to cook healthy foods that taste good. Veggies, fruits, lean meats, fish—you can turn all of them into savory meals, so your kids will actually look forward to eating healthy.
Another reason why people eat poorly is because they don’t know what foods do to their health. With a little background info, you can show your kids the effects of their eating habits.
For instance, if your kids eat grilled chicken breast, explain how that will help them grow Superman muscles. Likewise, you can explain how unhealthy burgers, pastas, and sweets can take those “superpowers” away.
You can get scientific with it too! Visual demonstrations always help, like showing how much better your body functions when it’s fueled by healthy foods.
We could go on about this, but the point is that it’s crucial to teach your kids about nutrition at an early age, in a way they’ll understand.
