About Our Franchise Owner: Tim & Teri Herman

Hello everyone! We are Tim & Teri Herman and are excited to bring Fit Body Boot Camp to Hickory. With both of us having experience in the Healthcare field, we realize the importance of staying active & proper nutrition to maintain a healthy body. However; like most people, due to work & family demands, we find it difficult to incorporate a consistent workout routine and include a healthy diet.

Teri has been a Nurse Practitioner in Women’s healthcare for 25 years. Her objective is to assist her patients to live healthy lifestyles. So many of her patients put other’s needs before themselves which leads to unhealthy habits, thus resulting in various health problems. Tim is currently a Purchasing Agent for a local company after having left the healthcare field as a Physical Therapist Assistant. During Tim’s time as a PTA, he saw numerous examples of the effects of inactivity on the body. Some of those examples include balance issues resulting in falls, inability to stand from a chair, difficulty with walking.

Neither Teri nor I were looking to do anything different in our careers, then along came the Fit Body Boot Camp opportunity. After several months of gathering information, the Fit Body Boot Camp model just made sense. The workouts are 30 minutes in duration, are led by Certified Personal Trainers, & uses the HIIT (high intensity, interval training) principle. The HIIT principle gets your body to burn up to 2x the calories in half the time of traditional workouts. In addition, the HIIT principle has shown to keep your metabolism working at a higher rate for up to 32 hours after each workout. We will be taking the Fit Body Boot Camp model, with their Unstoppable Fitness Formula, combine that with our Certified Personal Trainers, to provide you with the best opportunity to reach your personal fitness and nutritional goals. We are a results-driven fitness studio, and our trainers will push & motivate you to be proud of your abilities every time you come and to have fun doing it.
