About Jamal and Sherri Williams
Thank you for checking out our Little River Fit Body Boot Camp page. We would like to tell you a little bit about ourselves and how we got here, and what we can do to help you on your journey to healthy living.
I am Sherri Williams, and together with my husband, Jamal, I recently relocated to Myrtle Beach from Syracuse in Upstate New York; it snows 6 months out of the year there and if you blink, you miss summer. In Syracuse, both Jamal and I worked in the healthcare field. I worked as a registered nurse and he worked as an anesthesiology technician. We saw a lot of people get admitted to the hospital on a regular basis; these trips could have been avoided if they understood how to take care of their bodies properly. Jamal and I have always been into fitness ourselves: we love skiing, hiking, kayaking, lifting weights and getting our cardio in. Still, as we began to age, we felt ourselves slipping a little physically. We wanted to get it under control so we could live happy, healthy lives together.
Like so many others, we knew what to do at the gym, but it was after the gym when we struggled. We would do an hour or two of full body workouts, then go out to dinner on the way home. We had the why, we had the how, but we just weren’t able to put it all together and live a healthy lifestyle, no matter how hard we tried.
This is where Fit Body Boot Camp comes in: Jamal was struggling with constant back pain due to the physicality of his work, and I was at an age where, as hard as I worked at it, it was hard to stay in shape. We saw an advertisement on Facebook, much like this one, for a 6-week boot camp. We were most intrigued by the all-encompassing package of benefits that came with boot camp. We could get group personal training—including advice on exercises we should and shouldn’t do—as well as the nutritional counseling we needed all along, even if we didn’t know it.
We joined Fit Body Boot Camp and committed to the 6 weeks. Instead of spending 2 hours in the gym, we were in and out in 30 mins, having completed a full body workout. We felt the effects of these workouts instantly and intensely. More than that, we didn’t have the urge to just stop on the way home for breakfast, lunch, or dinner; instead, we’d leave with an eating plan to build off the workout we’d just completed.
We decided to relocate to the Myrtle Beach area and help as many people as we could to get healthy, just like the coaches at the Fit Body Boot Camp in Syracuse helped us get healthy. Throughout our Fit Body Boot Camp journey, we always took comfort in knowing we had a place to go for guidance, encouragement, workout variety, and, most of all, assurance that the Coaches would not stop until we got the results we desired.
This is what we want to offer to all of you. We’ve worked hard to learn all we can about Fit Body Boot Camp, taking classes on personal training and nutrition. We even flew to California for Fit Body Boot Camp University training. We are mentored by the owner of the Syracuse Fit Body Boot Camp, who is like family to us. You can come in for a workout or for nutritional assistance, but you’ll eventually start your fitness journey and do things you never knew you could. You’ll make friends that will help you reach all of your goals, so you can continue to live a happy and healthy life—of course, with the Fit Body Boot Camp Family by your side.
