My name is Emily Johnson and I’m excited to be your “inside connection” to Portland’s greatest fitness secret to losing weight, getting in shape, and living a healthy lifestyle.
Let me be radically honest with you: I’ve always been fairly active but struggled with my weight and poor self body image for many years. I was just like you.
I tried all those “so called” fitness and weight loss solutions. They were all designed to fail. Sure, it would work for a while with some success but I would inevitably revert back to poor eating habits.
Then one day enough was enough…In 2006 while living in Spain, I’d had it! I was fed up with the fitness roller coaster. I knew I had to make a drastic change or I would risk spending my entire life battling my weight and being unhealthy.
I joined a transformation contest to help whip me into shape.
But best of all, I won. At that moment I realized the discipline and determination I had to change my unhealthy habits gave me the results I had been wanting. It wasn’t a quick fix, I maintained a fitness program and healthy eating that I was able to seamlessly integrate into my life to help me reach and maintain my ideal body. I became passionate about health and fitness and wanted to help people who were struggling just like I did.
