About Enrique Ibarra & Rosa Espana

Hi! Rickey and Rosa here!

I (Rickey) grew up playing sports my whole life. Baseball, basketball, soccer-you name it, I probably played it. During my younger years, I was very athletic (more like super skinny), and it wasn’t until I turned 25 years old when the weight really started pile on. Back in 2007, I decided to join the United States Coast Guard. I was told by my recruiter that I needed to lose at least 35 pounds. It’s funny, I didn’t even realize I was that overweight until he told me that. A few months later I was being shipped off to Cape May, NJ for USCG basic training. Two months later I was in the best shape of my life. During that time, I remember thinking, “That’s it! I feel great and I am in shape again! I always will be!” If it only were that easy…

Slowly but surely, all of my newfound glory started to slip away. I could have done a lot better if I had the help I needed from someone who was knowledgeable in health and fitness, as I often unintentionally made poor choices in my diet. That is why I want to help others now. Eating healthy can be very confusing, and maintaining the correct form while exercising is difficult without the help of a fitness professional.

I have changed a lot in the last ten years, but there is one thing that has remained constant: My love for exercise. As I get older, it becomes much harder to maintain my ideal weight, but with the right nutrition and HIIT training I have been able to remain at a healthy weight. I really wanted to help others realize their abilities and gain confidence, just as I did. That’s when I found Fit Body Boot Camp and the Unstoppable Fitness Formula. Their dedication to changing the lives of others is perfectly in line with the services I want to provide.

Hello, my name is Rosa Espana! Don’t tell anyone, but I am the one who got Rickey into boot camp style workouts. I have always had a passion for helping others, which is why I chose to go into the medical field.

Back in 2008, I graduated abroad with a degree in Nursing (Venezuela). In 2012, I obtained a Master’s degree in Surgical Nursing (Spain). While working in a hospital unit I cared for a large number of patients, many of whom had terminal illnesses. Several of my patients were very overweight and had a very hard time caring for themselves. Unfortunately, I have witnessed how obesity causes poor self-image, low self-esteem, and social isolation, all known contributors to depression. That’s not even mentioning all the unwanted side effects of obesity, such as: heart disease, strokes, diabetes, and cancer.

This is exactly why I am committed to living a healthy lifestyle, and now more than ever I want to help those in the Middletown community achieve their fitness goals.
