About Joy Gallo

Hi! My name is Joy Gallo. I have had a passion for helping others my entire life, and I love being fit and healthy. I want everyone I meet to experience the feeling of confidence they will get from being physically fit, and I want to help others feel what it is like to truly love their body inside and out. My fitness journey began in 2008 when I finished college and was slightly overweight, and had no clue what it meant to be healthy. I was 26 years old, worked out at my house daily, but was not really taking care of myself on the inside.

I then began to train for a half marathon because I wanted to challenge myself, since I never considered myself a runner. Throughout that journey I hated the running, but loved how I felt afterwards. When I finally completed the marathon I knew I wanted to do more. That is when I discovered interval training or HIIT training. I learned that you didn’t need to spend hours in a gym to make huge gains physically and mentally. I saw my body make a transformation. I was getting stronger and I loved the tone I was getting in my arms and how strong I felt. This type of training quickly became a part of my lifestyle.

Working out was a part of my life now, and I loved being active anyway I could, walking outside, doing a workout video at home, visiting local workout groups. As I was getting older, my body soon hit a plateau and I was feeling fatigued, but still working out. It was not until my first son was born in 2011, that I realized the importance of taking care of my body from the inside out. Like most women I wanted my body back immediately, so I did a popular weight loss program. I was counting every calorie and soon became obsessed to the point it was causing stress in my life and to the people around me. Yes I lost all the baby weight, but I was not happy, food caused me anxiety and I could not even enjoy a meal without thinking about it’s negative effects. I realized this was no way to live. So, I began to pay attention to labels, eat more plant based whole foods, and listen to my body while maintaining a consistent workout schedule.

I have changed a lot in the last 10 years, but there is one thing that has remained constant: My love of exercise. As I get older, it becomes much harder to maintain my ideal weight, but with the right nutrition and HIIT training I have been able feel confident with my body more today than I ever have. I really wanted to help others realize their abilities and gain confidence, just as I did, and that is when I discovered Fit Body Boot Camp and the Unstoppable Fitness Formula. Their dedication to changing the lives of others is perfectly in line with the services I want to provide.

We now bring you Lexington Fit Body Boot Camp, and will strive to provide you the same results as other Fit Body Boot Camps have provided around the world! We are a results driven fitness studio, and myself and our coaches will push and motivate you to be proud of your abilities every time you come! I am so thankful to have the opportunity to do what I love, and love what I do. Our studio is for all fitness levels, and we want every member to feel as though they are a part of our fit family.
