Hi there! My name is Jonathan and I started Sergeant Shed Fitness. I am now owner/operator of Hermitage Fit Body Boot Camp. If you are like me, you have probably spent hundreds of dollars looking for the next miracle weight loss formula, just to be terribly disappointed by either losing weight too quickly and gaining it right back or, even worse, not losing any weight at all!
As with every single aspect of health and fitness, there are absolutely no miracles. If this was the case, everyone you know would be healthy and fit. In my case, being a soldier in the United States Army with responsibilities early in the morning, all day, and in the evening, finding time to exercise can sometimes feel like a struggle.
As a youngin’ and teenager living in Dallas, I was always actively playing baseball and participating in other sports. I played semi-pro ball for eight months and also played All-Army ball for a total of 5 years. Fast-forward 20+ years later: multiple duty locations, multiple deployments, a house, school, two boxers, and no family, my body had stopped doing all the things it used to do. No longer was I able to stay up all night, consume fast-food all day, and still manage to fit into my college jeans!
After teaching my craft of maintaining nutrition and fitness to newly enlisted soldiers in the Army, I finally began to realize that fitness is not about being a certain size. Moreover, it’s also not about feeling guilty, deprived, or comparing yourself with others.
Fitness is a lifestyle choice. It’s about finding a balance to moderate the wonderful roller coaster we call life. Once I was able to accept and love all of my perfect imperfections and stopped worrying about what others were doing, I focused more on my own improvements. I was able to embark on a more fulfilling journey that complements the way I feel inside. It allows me to motivate others to feel the same way. To be honest, every day I wake to a constant dilemma: what can I do to help others? What can I do to motivate others to feel good about themselves? What can I do to aid others in changing their bodies to look and feel the way they want while having total control over how they do it? Going through these challenges is what makes us human; overcoming them is what makes us extraordinary.
As your coach/trainer, I get out of my shell all the time. I am always looking for the fastest, shortest, healthiest, and smartest way to shed those stubborn pounds and keep them off. I also have gained much knowledge in ways to help others NATURALLY lose weight, choose healthier meal plans, and generally feel good to gain maximum guaranteed results!
