Howdy! My name is Kuy Houser.
I have had a passion for helping others my entire life; in fact, that’s why I decided to become a doctor. I have been a doctor since 2010 and a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician since 2013. It is my passion to help others be fit and healthy. I spend much of my time finding ways to help my patients lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, control their diabetes, beat anxiety/depression, lose weight, and feel better through exercise and diet. I personally love being fit and healthy, and I want everyone I meet to experience the feeling of confidence they will get from being physically fit.
My fitness journey began in 2013 after I had just completed medical school and residency training. Those 7 years of long days studying and long nights working in the hospital learning to take care of patients took a toll on my body. I grew up in a small town, so in high school I played most of the high school sports, lifted weights, and was typically in great shape. It seemed like back then I could eat anything I wanted and wouldn’t gain a pound. That all changed! Just a couple of years ago, I was well over 200 lbs for the first time and probably in the worst shape of my life. I would have struggled to even run half a mile… I knew I needed to get back in shape, but I wasn’t sure how. I tried jogging, eating better, lifting weights like I did back in high school, and had some limited success, but nothing was really sticking. It wasn’t until I discovered high intensity interval training (HIIT), and started learning more about nutrition, that I started having consistent results. Since then, I have lost over 30 lbs of fat, gained muscle, and improved my energy levels significantly. At first, I wasn’t too sure about boot camp style workouts, but began to LOVE how I felt afterward. The more I worked out, the more I loved it, and pretty soon it became part of my lifestyle.
Healthy eating can be very confusing, and maintaining the correct form while exercising is difficult without the help of a professional. Many of us think we could never do it, and often we give up before we ever see results. I really wanted to help others realize their abilities and gain confidence, just as I did, and that is when I found Fit Body Boot Camp and the Unstoppable Fitness Formula. Their dedication to changing the lives of others is perfectly in line with the services I want to provide, and those I have been teaching my patients for the past few years.
We now bring you College Station Fit Body Boot Camp, and will strive to provide you the same results as other Fit Body Boot Camps have provided around the world! We are a results driven fitness studio, and our trainers will push and motivate you to be proud of your abilities every time you come! I am so thankful to have the opportunity to continue to do what I love, and love what I do. Our studio is for all fitness levels, and we want every member to feel as though they are a part of our family. We make working out fun, fast-paced, family oriented, and aim to minimize the amount of time you have to spend while maximizing the results you achieve.
