Hi!, Matt here!

In September of 2013, I opened my first Fit Body Boot Camp in Grand Haven (my hometown) with the mission to change the lives of the Grand Haven community. My Team and I opened the Holland FBBC in November of 2014, Forest Hills FBBC in September of 2015, and Grandville FBBC in May of 2016.

In just over 3 years, our clients – we call them our “fitness family” – have lost over 70,000 pounds and 70,000 inches with our program. We have now helped over 85 clients lose 50 pounds or more, 5 clients lose over 100 pounds, and 1 client lose an incredible 178 pounds! My team and I have devoted our entire lives to learning everything we can about fitness, fat loss, and changing peoples lives through proper training, nutrition, and coaching. Trust us, we have over 17 years in the trenches in the training industry.

I personally grew up the token chubby kid and I absolutely hated it. Being overweight fueled me to learn everything I could about living a healthy lifestyle, training, and nutrition. My passion for learning drove me to get my bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Grand Valley State University as well as a master’s degree in exercise physiology from Western Michigan University. I have even worked with professional athletes as well as Division 1 athletes at the University of Michigan.

My greatest joys in life are seeing our clients not only transform their bodies, but also their lives! My life’s purpose is to impact our clients’ lives and empower them to reach their health and fitness goals! Josh will be running our Alpine Fit Body Boot Camp, so I am going to let him introduce himself.

Hello, my name is Joshua Johnston and I am so excited to help you to discover your inner potential! As someone who has worked both inside and outside the fitness industry, I completely understand how life can keep us from becoming the person we want to be. Here at Fit Body Bootcamp, we want you to be able to have 30 minutes a day to focus on improving yourself. When you walk through our doors, we want those 30 minutes to be the best 30 minutes of your day!

As a former athlete, personal trainer, and small group trainer, I feel I can bring you a fitness formula that will keep you encouraged, motivated, and hopeful for more. I am completely confident in saying that our team holds the tools necessary to help you reach your goals and beyond. As a team, we will help you develop the groundwork needed to cultivate a strong body and mind. We are completely committed to helping you establish a healthy lifestyle and habits that will lead you to success.
