Hi! My name is Vik Desai. I have lived a healthy lifestyle for the past 10 years with focus on fitness and nutrition.
My fitness journey began the day we finalized our wedding date. I wanted to look super fit. With a lack of knowledge in nutrition and exercising, I did it all the wrong way. Soon I realized that what I was doing wasnt sustainable. Thats when I started researching more on the internet and learnt that I was a classic victim of marketing. Something that was more alarming was there were so many others like me. Thats when I decided that I will help others with whatever knowledge I had gained with my daily research on the internet. Additionally I decided to get certified in fitness through NASM. Over the past 10 years, I have lived life with one mantra: Consistency is the key to success. I have instilled this mantra as part of my coaching to make my clients realize that fitness cannot be practiced for a finite period. It is permanent and will be a part of you for your entire life.
In 2016, I focused only on 1-1 trainings and trained my clients in their home. I had 13 regular clients and days were getting busy as I had a full-time job in addition to my personal training. I soon realized that that all my clients, before they started training with me, were focusing their efforts in the wrong direction and were going down the rabbithole that I dug myself out of. With my experience, I helped them live a healthy life without sacrificing their lifestyle. I made them realize that you dont have to spends coutnless hours on the treadmill, gulp spinach like Popeye, turn away the ocassional pizza slice etc. However I still felt that I am not able to create an impact as I was able to impact a very small number of lives due to the limitation of 1-1 training. In 2019 I decided to start a studio where I could impact more than 13 lives, through group training sessions. And that is how Westborough Fit Body Boot Camp was born.
